Yes - definitely kid and allergy friendly!
Great place to stop in and grab some good take out. The staff were friendly, the food was ready in less than 20 min, and the food was delicious. The veggie sushi were fresh and tasted great.
First time here and it was fantastic. The staff was great with my two kids and sat us by the fish tank. The eggrolls were big and very tasty. I ordered the los Vegas roll and it was so amazing. It tasted so fresh. We also got the chicken fried rice for the kids and it was tasty also. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate without being too dark. They even had special chop sticks for the kids so they could use them easily. I'd definitely recommend this place for a date night or family dinner.
We eat sushi all the time. We love the Zuki that is downtown Evansville, but this location is not the same. Last time we were here we got another tables sushi, and we were not the table with this issue. This location usually takes longer to get food to your table. Hibachi tables are a lot closer than the ones down town. It is too expensive for the service you get. Food is usually good.
Very good.
Was sad to see they took out the mushrooms and zucchini and replaced it with potatoes and carrots hope they bring it back in the veggies ☹the chef and waitrees did a wonderful job as always love them all.
Great food and service a+
Best sushi in town. Our server was busy and couldn't give us much attention however the guys at the sushi bar we're very accommodating and entertaining! Master Yoshi is a book of knowledge!! Beer & sushi is the best way to spend date night or a family friendly place to take the kids! The caterpillar roll & tiger roll are excellent!!
Our chef was named Ed, cant say enough good things. We had the grandkids with us and he had them laughing the whole time. I even got my grand daughter to try calamari.
Excellent food and service
We usually eat at Zuki one to two times per month. I tipped the chef in cash $10 and the waitress then brought the bill. It had a tip already included in the bill of $20.38. I have a policy if you put an automatic tip in the bill, that is exactly the amount of the tip I leave. I explained to the waitress that I gave part of the tip to the chef before she put a 20% tip on my bill so to please give me credit for that payment. They refused to give me credit for the payment, so they forced a 30% tip by not telling me ahead of time they were putting the tip on the bill and by refusing to give me credit for the payment I made. Asked to speak to an owner or manager. The waitress said none is present. Their business has declined and unfortunately they just cost themselves the loss of another customer. My daughter left something at the table and went back in to grab it only to hear the employees bad mouthing us.
AWESOME!!!!! Best sushi and hibachi in the ENTIRE TRI-STATE!!!!! Extremely friendly staff! Great service! Great birthday! 100% wonderful!!!
First time ever being there and it was amazing. We had two little girls with us and they absolutely loved it. We went a hour before closing and they were very accommodating for our group. Chef was absolutely amazing and very talkative. There was another guy there who entertained the children so we could pay. He ran around playing tag with them and they had a ball.
Fantastic food and service. Absolutely love this place!
Pretty bland food. The sushi is amazing though! The staff from the waitresses to the chefs are friendly and will listen to you if you have any complaints.I've never had a bad experience here so give it a shot!
Terrible. Absolutely terrible. We had hibachi and our waitress ignored us the entire time and only talked to the other group. A host eventually brought us a plate after the food was being prepared. We didn’t get a drink refill even while she was going to the other group filling their drinks. Unbelievable.
First time dining here and really don't have any major complaints. Place was nice and quiet. Service was prompt and courteous. The only snafu was that the sushi chef was out of rock sauce and substituted with spicy mayo, which I cannot eat anything spicy. There was no fuss over replacing the sushi.
I have eaten at Zuki’s for many years and have always loved it. My kids love it. I just have terrible service and been here almost two hours. Then they included a 20% gratuity on my party of 5, aka, my kids. I had them remove my food they never brought me. I also asked Melinda to remove the 20% tip she added and she told me she could not that was their policy. I have never had anyone do that in the many years I had been coming. I asked to speak to the manager and she told me she was. I have always tipped well even with bad service, but I couldn’t believe she would not remove the tip, which I know she can. I will not be back ever again. I like good food but will not tolerate bad service and not removing the tip in requested.
Best Hibachi grill master EVER!! Food was excellent!
Saturday night, arrived at 850, was told hibachi ended at 845 after standing and waiting for five minutes. We ordered off the menu instead. We were hurried to order and our food was delivered very fast, too fast. The salads were room temperature and the hibachi dinners (2-steak & shrimp, 1-steak & chicken) were barely warm. From the time we ordered to the time we got our food was maybe 5-7 minutes. We also ordered a sushi roll. I confirmed that they had the Nevada Maki. I’m not sure what I got but it definitely wasn’t what I’ve had in the past. The sushi rolls were falling apart. Extremely disappointing, we won’t be back. Could have gotten better food and service elsewhere for 1/3 the price.
I am sad to leave such a low review, but we were very disappointed when we dined in this week. Most infuriating is that they added a 20% service charge without even telling us. While looking at the bill it just didn't add up. We had to ask why it cost more than what we ordered. It was then that they finally told us about this service charge. I'm sure most people don't look at their bill and just pay, so it feels scummy that they tried to sneak it in this way. They should have been upfront about this in the beginning. On top of that, we saw a dead cockroach, the chef insulted us, the steak was very small, and the some of the chicken was chewy/rubbery. We just wanted a nice night out, but we didn't get it here. It's a shame too, we did enjoy coming here before all this nonsense.
Nice place. Sarah was my waitress and did a great job. Will definately be back again.
Went there for my daughter's birthday tonight. service was really bad waited forever for our food. We got our bill and they automatically added a $24 dollar tip to it.. i spoke with owner Joe and let him kno how bad the service was and voiced my opinion about automatic tip added.. i/we always tip according to the service we get and needless to say we will not be going there anymore! Because the Service Sucked
The food was amazing and the cook definitely loved his job. But the waitress was neglectful bc she never refilled our drinks and messed up my order.
I'm real lm y trying to find something good to say about experience. I definitely will only be going to downtown zuki from now on.
Zuki is always our favorite Japanese restaurant to eat at, but our experience tonight was by far the best we've ever had. We had a large party, as we were celebrating a birthday. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. YoYo was our hibatchi chef and his performance was exceptional. He is so entertaining and funny and the food was delicious! Well done!
Fun place to eat with good food. Dining area was clean (I did not visit the restrooms). I got the teriyaki steak ($24?) and my husband got the chicken ($21?) Both great!
They were great about accommodating our large group without any notice. The service was absolutely fantastic and the food came out quickly. Everything was delicious and we had a great time!
Service is so bad. Walked in and waited a few minutes to be seated. The place was not crowded and the staff was not in any rush. Got our drink order then waited 20 minutes but no one asked about food. Every table around us that arrived after us was already eating. I will never eat here again.
Delicious food. And great service ❤
Zuki Japanese Restaurant gets a five-star rating because of the excellent quality of service and food. This restaurant was clean and well maintained. My attitude going in was, oh my, Japanese cuisine, I'm not going to like this, because I don't like most oriental food. Wow, was I ever in for a treat. Not only was the food outstanding but the chef really put on a show and was really engaging with all of the guests at our table. I HIGHLY recommend Zuki to everyone. You won't be disappointed.
Even with the covid restrictions was seated fairly quickly. We ate at the hibachi grill and had good food.
Had a great experience. I ordered take out and had a great time talking to Alexa which I believe is the hostess that took my order. I hope I get to talk to her the next time I order too. I highly suggest the sushi which is what I got mostly. It's amazing. I do suggest a name change for the yellow tail roll which is oddly enough called mellow yellow just brings some confusion 😉. I go here about once a month and will be back again. Thanks Alexa you did great.
I lived in Newburgh 6 years ago. I used to come here all the time, but they have slipped. Maybe because of the Covid, I'm not sure. But, food, service and building keep has declined.
Not to bad. It's very interesting and the food is splendid. But, 4 star
by far the best place to eat. it has a great environment and energy. definitely recommend
Very nice hibachi spot. Friendly servers and an entertaining show.
Absolutely disappointing experience. The restaurant was not at all busy during our time of visit and yet it took an outrageous 7 minutes to ask what we wanted to drink, an exhausting 15 to actually bring us water, but a respectable 30 for food. The food was NOT good and when we were ready to pay (we used cash), we never got our money back. She said that she would run back and grab the change and simply never returned. We sat there for 15 minutes waiting for our change back. We have been here before and enjoyed ourselves but this experience was the worst that I've ever experienced in any restaurant.
Great service, good food and a great chef. The cooks varied on how much interaction they have but still recommend going. Lost a star because in my experience of having someone cook infront of you, I've had more interaction with the chef. Also the salad served before eating is subpar.
Atmosphere for lunch was great. Nice sized portions cooked right before our eyes by our chef, who did AWESOME tricks. The servers were a little lacking but the food was so excellent I went ahead and gave it five stars.
The food is good but their service is absolutely terrible. I called three times for takeout and was sent to voicemail every time. I went in to order instead thinking there might be something wrong, and witnessed them do it to another calling customer. When I said something about it they were so rude. Will not be coming back, which is unfortunate because I really do like their food and have been eating here for years.
Sushi was ok, mine was room temperature but good quality. Long wait to be seated given the amount of people in the restaurant.
Wonderful service & delicious food. Highly recommend!
We've been to Zuki many times. They are pretty consistent. We typically eat hibachi as we are not big sushi fans. This visit was as good as our previous experiences. Good service. Not cheap but quality food.
Service was good people very friendly. We missed the zucchini and mushrooms they are one of the best part of the meals. Very disappointed they have removed them.PS potatoes on the hibachi with rice really doesn't work to starchy Wait staff and cooks were very good enjoyed everything just missed what we like.
Ok if you like Japanese food.I'm not a big fan of it.
Mostly went for the best waitress in town. Decent food, good place.
My overall experience here was mediocre. The food was decent, but the lack of knowledge from the server and the slow service were disappointing. On top of that I feel the prices were a little inflated given the lack of good service.
All I can say is YES, SO GOOD! DINE-IN for Habachi. You won't regret it!
